Quiksilver/Roxy surf lessons and camps are held at Lawrencetown or Martinique beaches. Located 30-40 minutes from Halifax, these are two of Nova Scotia’s finest surf beaches. They offer consistent waves, lifeguards, food and breath-taking views! We provide 4/3 wetsuits with your board so you can take advantage of the waves all day long!
Your lesson or camp will include: a thorough explanation of the proper technique to paddle and stand up, environmental and Ocean awareness education, knowledge of the equipment you will be using and any other questions you can possibly come up with on surfing in the area.
Full day, weekend camps and rentals are also available, along with group rates. All of your instructors are certified lifeguards (female and french speaking instructors are available upon request). Take a lesson or camp between June 15th and Oct. 1st and receive free gift bags from Roxy and Quiksilver.
Owner/instructor Nico Manos is Nova Scotia’s first and only professional surfer. He has been teaching lessons for 8 years and is currently the Canadian Junior team coach. Manos has had recognition in mags including Surfer, Surfing, Transworld Surf, ESM and other main stream publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Mclean’s and the The Toronto Star. Cost: $77 includes 1hr lesson and day rental includes board & suit.
